Wingshooter Kennels “Started Gun Dogs” are outstanding young dogs that have spent enormous time in obedience training and field work to hone their hunting skills.  Resulting in an easy handling, confident, ready to hunt bird dog. They are trustworthy of their handler and readily adapt and bond with a new family. 

Faye is a dynamic bird finder with outstanding game drive and beautiful pointing style. She has a dynamic cast with a big running fast pace, with medium to long range and hits the cover with drive and determination. She’s staunch on point, steady though the shot and marks her downed birds well with a swift natural retrieve. She covers the field quickly in her search for objectives and game. She has trained with multiple dogs and other handlers and gets along with everybody. She has a great temperament and is quiet and reserved in the kennel. She is an outstanding young bird dog and will provide a lucky hunting family with many years of field and family companionship.  

She comes from a long line of proven performers and field champions.  She’s the great granddaughter of NFC FC AFC Shambo’s Dark Shadow with many other notable NFC, DC, FC, and AFC dogs in her pedigree including NFC DC AFC Tequila’s Joker, NFC FC AFC Hi Proof Rum Runner, FC AFC Chubasco II, NFC FC AFC Microdot. We’ve had two previous pups out of the Dam, and they have both become outstanding bird dogs and family pets. One is in Cheyenne and the other is in Tampa. See her pedigree in pictures. 

Our Started Gun Dogs come to us at 7 or 8 weeks of age and are in the field 5 to 6 days a week. They develop an intense desire to seek and find game, point staunchly and have been exposed to various field scenarios and hunting situations. They are familiar with the gun, retrieve naturally, e-collar conditioned, whistle trained and socialized with other dogs and hunters. They are current on all vaccinations, heartworm and microchipped. They are eager and ready to hunt!
