We have 2 young male dogs from our Bear and Nova litter whelped on 3/5/2026 in our Hunt Ready Started Dog Program. They have been field training and conditioning since they were 6 weeks old, honing their hunting skills and developing a confident maturity.  

They are dynamic bird finders with outstanding game drive and beautiful pointing style. they have great temperament and are quiet and reserved in the kennel. Each has an athletic and snappy stride, with medium to long range and hit the cover with drive and determination. They’re easy to cast and have great check-in with a steady 9 to 3 forward hunting patterns. They’re learning to be staunch on point and mark birds well before release. They have trained with multiple dogs and handlers and get along with everybody. These are outstanding young bird dogs and will provide a lucky hunting family with many years of field and family companionship.  

Both parents are on site and can be viewed in the field along with the boys. 

Dam: WK’s Blaze’n Star, Nova came to me from Eric Lowman’s Smoking Gun kennels in North Carolian as a puppy. She shows every quality you’d expect in an excellent bird dog. She has strong desire, boldness, independence, great bird-finding ability, stylish pointing, and was easy to train. Nova is gentle both in her kennel and at home, making her a delightful companion. She’s trained and hunted alongside other dogs and handlers. She’s a standard sized Brittany female and produces great pups, She is OFA Good. She comes from a long line of proven field trial competitors and hunters and her grandfather NFC NAFC FC AFC Just Call Me Roy is on both sides of the pedigree.

Sire: Walker’s Makers on the Rocks, Bear is the son of GFC FC AFC Sniksoh Spank’s Hank. Bear is an exceptional bird dog with a blend of calm demeanor and high game drive. He’s relaxed in the kennel but a powerful force in the field. Hunting with determination and style, Bear showcases impressive coloration, conformance, athleticism, and endurance for all-day hunts. Bear has a big running competitive ground pattern appropriate for AKC field trialing. His offspring are showing this inherited trait. He has been trained alongside various dogs and handlers, and has hunted wild birds in ND, SD, Nebraska, Texas and Kansas. Performance runs deep on both sides of Bears family; his pedigree includes notable Brittany field trial performers and champions such as his sire GFC FC AFC Sniksoh Spank’s Hank, NFC FC Beans Blaze, NFC FC AFC Microdot, NFC DC AFC Gamblers Ace in the Hole. He is OFA Excellent. His littermate brother is NAGDC Sniksoh’s Hanks Hatch.

Our Started Gun Dogs are driven to seek and find game, exposed to hundreds of hard flying quail, point staunchly and have been exposed to various field scenarios and hunting situations. They are familiar with the gun, retrieving naturally, e-collar conditioned, whistle trained and socialized with other dogs and handlers. They’re crate conditioned and ready to travel. They are eager to please and ready to hunt!
