Wingshooter Kennels “Started Gun Dogs” are outstanding young bird dogs that have spent enormous time in training and orientation to hone their hunting skills and develop a confident maturity. They are trustworthy to their handler and can go quickly into the field. They easily adapt and bond to a new family. 

Pepper is a dynamic bird finder with outstanding game drive and beautiful pointing style. She has a great temperament and is quiet and reserved in the kennel. She has an athletic and graceful stride, with medium to long range and hits the cover with drive and determination. She’s easy to cast and has great check-in with a steady 9 to 3 forward hunting pattern. She’s staunch on point and marks her downed birds well with a swift natural retrieve. She has trained with multiple dogs and handlers and gets along with everybody. She is an outstanding young bird dog and will provide a lucky hunting family with many years of field and family companionship.  

She comes from a long line of proven performers and field champions.   Her sire, “Ringo,” is the son of NFC 2XNAGDC NGDC GFC2 FC AFC B&T’s Sundance Kid Rock “Rocky,” the descendant of Sundance Kid and Shambo’s Dark Shadow.  Her dam “Rose” also comes from a great pedigree of proven field trialers and hunting dogs going back to HOF NFC Beans Blaze. Our Started Gun Dogs are driven to seek and find game, exposed to hundreds of hard flying quail, point staunchly, and have been exposed to various field scenarios and hunting situations. They are familiar with the gun, retrieving naturally, e-collar conditioned, whistle trained, and socialized with other dogs and handlers. They’re crate conditioned and ready to travel. They are eager to please and ready to hunt!
